Welcome to our Be a Host tutorial, I’m Caitlin Kodack. If you are on this page, you feel that “you ARE the one” to be a host in your city. You also feel that this is a great opportunity for you to launch your entertainment career in a professional manner. I’m sure you probably have a lot of questions. The good part is below this video player is a link to our facts page that will go over a lot of specifics that I won’t have time to cover in this short video. But let me go over a few main topics that you need to know about. If you’ve noticed how our site is organized, we separate our business listings into two topics. The first is “Services” which are, for example…..spas, plumbers, and real estate agents……the second topic, is “Entertainment”, your nightclubs, coffee shops, and restaurants. For each city, we are looking for hosts in both of these topics. So ideally, each city should have at least two hosts. The size of the city will determine how many hosts in each topic. We know there are great things all over the world….and they aren’t all in your big cities. We want you to help us showcase these things through our original television programming that focuses in area you live.
Our hope is that this opportunity can work with your current occupation, eventually becoming something you can pursue full time. But, if you have a job in which you work long hours, and have no flexibility…..then it will be hard to be selected as a host. Every case is unique and every selection will be different based on numerous circumstances. If we feel, and the video production company working your area feels, we can work with your schedule, then no problem. So if you have a desire, and feel you can make the time to record various shows in your city, then please submit your audition video and follow the directions below this video player to e-mail us your headshots, resume, and links to any videos you might have. The only information that will be shared publicly will be your audition video that you upload on this site. All other information that you e-mail us will be shared with company personnel only in order for us to help us evaluate your potential as a host.
So what do you need to do right now? Click the link to read the facts page and upload your 1 minute audition video. Make sure you tell everyone you know about it so they can check it out and vote if they think you would be a great host. Your friends can also vote on hosts in other cities to indicate their feelings about a particular host. We will be taking all of this feedback into consideration when it comes to the selection process. We then will select semi-finalists and then finalists through the website. You will be notified of any selections that concern you. As we work our way to find these finalists, we may be contacting you to do a video interview. The final part of the selection process is a personal invite that you will receive by e-mail to attend what we call “Selection Weekend” in your local area. Here, we will conduct personal one-on-one interviews with each finalist and have you perform a few video segments which will allow us to see you in action. We will also review all legal documentation that will need to be signed once you are selected. Once all personal auditions are complete, the company will make final decisions and you will be notified. We will update our website to indicate who is our newest host and it’s time to get started.
Our goal is to provide useful information and worthwhile entertainment that people can use in their daily lives. FUAME uses local reviews to create television programming that spotlights the best businesses, events, and sights in a city. The letters of FUAME stand, For U And ME. This site is about creating a business that we ALL can benefit from. How does the site work? We want YOU to tell us about the good, great, and best things that you’ve experienced in city. We believe that telling us about all the bad experiences you’ve had doesn’t help anyone. For example, if a friend visited you from out of town and asked you “Where should we go to eat tonight?”…you wouldn’t tell your friend about all the bad places you know about. You would do what exactly what pretty much everyone does, you tell your friend about the 1 or 2 places you think are good and that is where you go eat. We’ve built this site to mirror what you already do in real life. That is why when you experience something good or great in your life, HERE is where you recognize those things. Because of YOUR recommendations, anyone who visits that city through our site will benefit by knowing the best things right away, without having to spend time searching other websites hoping to find something worthwhile.
Our original television programming is tied to our local reviews. Once enough people have recommended and ranked a particular business, we recognize it through one of our original shows…The Top Spot. The Top Spot television show gives you a firsthand look at the top things in a city, whether it’s a nightclub, restaurant, law office, landscaper, or spa. Our second original show is called FUAME First Look. Here, we give you an introduction to a new business in your area. You’ll visit the location, while meeting the owners and staff. You’ll get an idea about the services being offered and YOU can decide whether to pay a visit to that particular business. Our third show, the Exclusive, takes you out and about around that particular city so you can learn what makes that city unique. Whether it’s a city fair, wine festival, or concert, we want to take you there so you can experience that what makes that particular city special. Our last original show, The Workshop, gives business owners an opportunity to showcase their industry expertise so you can see their knowledge on display.
FUAME’s motto is “Make a Difference”. Part of that means our company wants to find great ways to help out in our local communities through volunteering our time to great causes. If you’d like to join us, check out the link under this video player for more information.

Do you want to watch television programming that shows you the best things not only your local area, but in destinations around the world? Well you’ve come to the right place. Let’s talk about our lineup of shows that will eventually allow YOU, to see and experience the best the world has to offer. Our first show, the show that YOUR participation has the most affect on, is “The Top Spot”. The Top Spot television show allows you to see the top businesses and places in a city based on the reviews by people who know that city best….that means YOU. How does a business get recognized on the Top Spot? We first establish a criteria based on the number of reviews and the cumulative score. Once enough people have reviewed that business or place and it reaches that criteria, it is now known as one of the top places. We then contact that business to give you an all access pass to show the world why this place is one of the best. It’s important to remember that a business can’t pay for a Top Spot video, we don’t have “local experts” who make that decision for you, and our company doesn’t decide……only YOU decide who is recognized as the best based on YOUR reviews.
For our second show, wouldn’t it be great if you could READ about new businesses opening in your area? Wouldn’t it be even better if you could see and experience that business so you can decide if you should pay it a visit? That’s the idea behind our show…. “First Look”. Why would this show be important to you? Depending on where you live, you could literally miss a new business that opened in your area for years. You may drive past that business every day, but you’ve never gone in. Well now you can. Our hosts will meet with the business owner and staff and allow them to tell their story. They can tell you what they are passionate about, and why they decided to open up a business in your area. We will cover the products and services they offer so you can become better informed about what’s happening around you. If a business hasn’t opened yet, or has been open for less than two years, it can be profiled on the FUAME First Look.
You know, making decisions about who to select when it comes to providing a service to you can be challenging. Whether it’s finding someone to fix your plumbing problem, paint your house, do your nails or hair, give you a massage, or do your taxes….. it can be a painful process. What if business owners had the ability to not just tell you they are great, through maybe an ad, but now they can SHOW you they know what they are doing? That’s why our third show, “The Workshop” is so important to you. Business owners can create a video segment that showcases them giving tips or demonstrations. The Workshop allows you, not only to become more educated about their industry, but also to get an insight into the person who owns or manages that business. By seeing for yourself that business owner talk to you firsthand, you can determine if that person is someone you’d like to call for a quote or visit their place of business.
Our last show, “The Exclusive”, is designed to let you experience great events in not only your city, but other cities as well. We want you to come with us as we attend that wine festival, a city fair, or art show, to not only speak to the promoters of the event, but people just like yourself that come out to attend.

The Workshop: Allows business owners to educate potential and existing customers with demonstrations and tutorials. Now you can SHOW your competence in your industry so people interested in your services will give you a call.
The Top Spot: A program to RECOGNIZE the top businesses as recommended by the users themselves. A business owner can’t pay for a Top Spot video.
The Exclusive: The programming helps event providers inform their communities about upcoming and existing events. This show allows members of our site to see “how the locals live” up close and personal.
A. Our goal is to provide and help local video companies grow their business by providing them the opportunity to earn income from shooting (not editing) our TV programs.
A. We need a video company to shoot video for our signature shows based on our guidelines. Each show has specific shots and video. Video crews will shoot the video, and once the content is correctly captured, the company will send the video to Gearshift and they will perform all editing for some of our initial shows (Top Spot, First Look, The Exclusive, etc.).
A. Once the video is accepted by the company and Gearshift, all payments will be made to the video crew via PayPal.
A. A company will have a “city liaison” who will work with the video crew, host, and local business owner. The city liaison will coordinate the schedule of the shoot and the details. The city liaison will then ensure that the day of the shoot, the production runs smoothly.
